Lyon Township has received an application for a Zoning Variance to construct four 1836 square foot duplexes on parcel 72007-024-014-0020, owned by Jimmy Assets, LLC. This parcel is in the R-1 Single-Family Residential district. The Lyon Township Zoning Ordinance, Section 600 states that the R-1 district “…is to provide for low density single family residential development.” This variance would allow for multi-family dwellings which are normally only allowed in R-3 Multiple-Family Residential district.
